The purpose of this video is to show you how to add a Syllabus to your Canvas course. You have some options in how you go about this, but you should start by going to the Syllabus section of your course navigation.Here, you have a page where you can copy and paste your syllabus document so that students have an immediate full view from here. You do so by clicking Edit, and then typing or pasting the information in the editor. Click Update Syllabus to save.The one down side to copying the entire standardized syllabus here is that students have to scroll all the way to the end of that document to see the Course Summary below. Many students use this as a reminder of assignment due dates in your course.The alternative way to post your syllabus is to post a link to download the syllabus on this page. Type some words to inform the students where to click, then highlight the words you want to act as the link. Click Files in the menu on the right, then upload a new file. Find the file on your computer and select Open. Finally, click Upload. Now students will be able to view the entire syllabus in its original file format AND see the Course Summary below.
